Bloody Rose

I’m only posting this because I’m hoping anyone who sees this will take the information with you.

I’ve been vegetarian for almost two years, and just the smell of meat makes me sick.  Some guys at the lunch table decided that while I was away, they’d crumble up chicken from their lunch into my salad.  I came back and started eating.  My stomach began to feel upset, so I started poking around my food, trying to figure out what was wrong.  It was a school lunch, you never know what could be in there.  I noticed little bits of something, that after poking it with my fork, fell apart just like chicken.  There was also breading crumbs everywhere.  One of the guys, laughing, asked me “What? You’re too picky to eat the purple lettuce or something?” I said, “No, there’s something weird in my salad.”  One of the other guys laughed and held up half of a breaded chicken piece that was from his lunch, “Does it look like this?” he taunted.  Everything clicked and I slammed my hands down on the table angrily.  I knew what always came after the horrible stomach ache from accidentally eating meat.  ”Thanks a lot!” I shouted, “I hope you know that meat makes me sick!”  and I went to the bathroom.

I ended up spending half an hour in the nurse’s clinic.  The principal went to the convenient store down the street and bought me a pack of Tums.  When I finally went back to class, I lasted all of 2 minutes, before I stood up, asked the teacher to be excused, and ran to the bathroom and vomited up the 1/2 salad I managed to eat.

A lot of people think vegetarians get sick after eating meat the same way a placebo makes people get better… but I’m telling you its real.  My stomach was upset before I even knew what was wrong.  I haven’t kept anything down since a bag of dry cereal this morning.  I’m hungry, but I can’t eat anything and keep it down!

So please, before playing a joke on a vegetarian by tricking them into eating meat, realize that you will ruin their day by making them sick.
